The Empire-Warrior Bunny War was a conflict between the Empire and the kingdom of Warrior Bunnies. It happened Three years ago before the events of GATE.

Background[]

The Warrior Bunnies was the warlike, mostly-female, rabbit eared demi-human tribes. They lived in the northwestern plains of the continent of Falmart. For long, these demi-human have been regarded as a cruel, violent and debauched race which the tribes would hunt one another.

Three years before the events of GATE, the Imperial army led by prince Zorzal Caesar launched an invasion of Warrior Bunny lands. The official reason is to acquire more slaves. However in truth, the war was actually a plot orchestrated by the Haryo tribe to eliminate the Warrior Bunnies as the species couldn't bear outcasts like themselves, which is heavily against their way of life. Furthermore, it was also Bouro's idea to make Tyuule became a scapegoat for Zorzal's treachery against her people.

“In the first place, it was all his fault. He didn’t play on my desire for pure love, or the desire to make the bunnies slaves. There was a deeper plot. Not only could the bunnies not bear Haryo children, but their queens were the purest of their blood. The Haryo could not tolerate that. Their way of life was completely opposed to the Haryo. It would be best to remove such rebels before they actually became a threat… is what he told me.”- Zorzal exposed Bouro and the Haryo tribe's intention to decimate the Warrior Bunnies, depicted in light novel volume 10, chapter 10

War[]

The war was short and bloody. Thanks to their superior fighting abilities compared to imperial soldiers, the Warrior Bunnies put up a fierce resistance and inflicted severe casualties on the Imperial Army. However, the numerically superior Imperial Army eventually triumphed and laid siege to the capital of the Warrior Bunny kingdom.

During the siege, the queen of the Warrior Bunnies, Tyuule, surrendered, and agreed to be taken into slavery if Zorzal spared her people. Zorzal took Tyuule as a sex slave, but secretly betrayed his promise, enslaving all the defeated demi-humans and slaughtering any of her people that refused to surrender.

Aftermath[]

The few, surviving warrior bunnies, like Delilah or Mamina, that still resist the Empire consider Tyuule a traitor, as her sacrifice led the slaughter and enslavement of their people. For this reason, they seek revenge against both the Empire and Tyuule herself. Tyuule, for her part, secretly knows Zorzal murdered her people, and waited three years for the moment to take revenge. When the Japan Self-Defense Forces arrived with their far superior weapons technology, Tyuule found a means towards her ends, and plots to drive the JSDF to destroy the Empire.

Furthermore, the surviving Warrior Bunnies also join force with the JSDF to exact revenge on the Empire.
