The Formal family (フォルマル家, Forumaru-ke) is a noble family within the Empire and ruling over Italica, a wealthy trade town. It's family head before the Battle of Ginza was Count Colt Formal, his death resulted in his title being passed on to his youngest daughter Myui.
After the JSDF had saved Italica from the marauders composed of mostly Imperial Army deserters during the Siege of Italica, House Formal had agreed to be in neutral ground between the Empire and Japan during the Japanese-Empire War.
